Salary: $ 46,712.49

Summary:

The incumbent of this position is a qualified professional nurse who is responsible to the RN Unit Manager. The RN assumes the accountability and responsibility as a professional nurse for providing total, comprehensive, continuous, and patient centered care for an assigned group of patients. When assigned as the nurse in charge of the unit/clinic, the RN I shall be responsible for all nursing activities of assigned shift.

Minimum Qualifications/Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing in American Samoa or in the U.S.A with an Associate Degree in Nursing/BSN or a nurse graduate of accredited 3 years diploma-nursing programs in the U.S.A.
• Successful passing of the national licensing examination for Registered Nurses (NCLEX-RN)

• Active RN license to practice in American Samoa
• Current BLS credential mandatory
• Nursing experience: 0-12 months (initial step). Acute care experience is preferred
• Able to work any of the 3 shifts, including weekends and/or holidays are required for staffing. Ability to work extra shifts as needed in emergency staffing situations.
• Willing to float to other nursing units and clinics, when necessary.
