- SOLICITATION
- Sealed bids are solicited for Dietary Cafeteria Renovation for LBJ Tropical Medical Center in Faga’alu Territory of American Samoa
- PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
- The project is composed of (2) bid packages. Work shall include general construction, site work, concrete work, and fine finishing.
- RECEIPT AND OPENING OF BIDS
- Sealed bids will be received by the Chief Procurement Officer of LBJ Tropical Medical Center, Pago Pago, American Samoa. 96799 until 2 PM, Tuesday, September 20, 2022, in which time and place the sealed bids will be publicly opened and read.
- PRE-BID MEETING
- A mandatory Pre-Bid Meeting for the project was scheduled for September 13, 2022, but has been moved to September 16, 2022, at 9 am at the LBJ Engineering Conference Room.
- BIDDING DOCUMENT
- A flash drive that includes plans and specifications may be examined at LBJ Tropical Medical Center Procurement Office, in the village of Fagaalu, or may be obtained from our Procurement Office. You can also obtain documents online at www.lbjtmc.org or upon request to the LBJ Tropical Medical Center Chief Engineer email sa.mavaega@lbj.as or veronica.vaouli-gasio@lbj.as or arpa@lbj.as.
- BIDDERS REQUIREMENT
- Five (5) years of construction in commercial or similar types of projects. Federal and territory tax clearance certificates.
- BID SECURITY
- A bid bond or cashier’s check in the amount of 5% of the base bid will be required to accompany all bids. Produce power of attorney authorizing the signer of the bid bond to issue the bond. Bidders may receive approval of the bid bond from the LBJ Tropical Medical Center at any time before bed opening.
- PERFORMANCE BOND LARGE AND AMTERILA BOND
- The contractor shall provide a performance Bond/Labor and Material’s Payment Bond in the amount of 100% of the total contract sum of 20% retention from the progress payments, performance bond/labor materials payment bond shall be on the form provided in the contract documents or similar forms satisfactory to LBJ Tropical Medical Center. The surety must be in US Government circular 570 Surety or certified and approved by LBJ Tropical Medical Center.
- RIGHT OF REFUSAL
- LBJ Tropical Medical Center reserves the right to refuse any bids.
- LBJ Tropical Medical Center reserves the right to waive any lawful information in bidding and awarding as it may be in the best interest of LBJ Tropical Medical Center.
